But it is pointless to claim and hold fast to the promises of God as given in his Word, if they are made by One who is in fact not sovereign, and therefore not sure to keep them, being bound by the free-will man has been given, which God will never invade. No!...we claim them because their Author is our sovereign Lord himself.
