I am suddenly in the mood for coffee, and I decide to check out a
coffee shop that I've never visited instead of settling for a home brew,
and upon arriving I get into a discussion about the gospel, and God
grants that person repentance and faith in Christ; Should the person
say, "God better be glad you had a interest in coffee tonight, because
it was purely your hunch to come, and purely God's fortunate turn of
events, so there is no point in crediting God for the crossing of our
paths. God gave a general call to evangelize, but all the specifics
should not be counted as God's providence."
either do not have a doctrine of Providence, or else it is extremely
bizarre, and can ultimately be distilled as "Man's Providence for God."
